Weekend Summary 6 March 2010
The
Mens 1's beat Preston 2's 3-2, Aled Jarvis scored a cracker, Lol McNeight and Dan Khedun got the
others to give us a 3-1 lead. We went down to 9 men at one time and they almost came back, but we held on. On
Sunday the Mens 1's went to Lymm to play in the Cheshire Plate semi-final and unfortunately lost 6-3 to a side
who probably wanted it more than we did, some good play by the youngsters, Matty Hammond, making his debut. Lol McNeight,
Dan Khedun and Pete Glassman got the goals.
The Mens 2's went to Liverpool Sefton, who are
third and only lost out 1-0. We remain a safe 9th out of 12 in Div 3.
The Mens 3's
beat a struggling Alderley Edge 5-0, James Knight got two, Steve Cookson, Rob Fisher and Andy Hogarth got the others. We
are in 6th place in Div 5.
The Mens 4's went 2-0 down against top of their Leagur Bangor City
1's, but Mike Lyness guided them back to 2-2, with two goals. We remain 4th in Div 7.
The Mens
5's took on Bebington 4's and lost out 3-0. We remain 5th in Division 8.
The Mens
6's went to Triton 3's and held on in the first half 0-0, we changed things around a bit and left a
gap which they took advantage of, we lost 5-1, Scott Barry got the consulation goal. We are in 6th in Div 9.
The Ladies 1's remain in 2nd spot in Div 2 after winning 5-1 against Deeside 2's, Louise Swift
got a hat-trick and Sally Bell a brace.
The Ladies 2's did not fair as well and lost out 5-0
to Alderley Edge 2's. We remain 7th in Div 5.
Our Junior sides continue to be very successful, The
Badgers beat Liverpool Sefton 2-1. Ollie Mills got both goals the last one a cracker.
The
Beavers beat a good Deeside side 4-1, Alex Russell got a hat-trick and Luke Davies-Foo got the other. A fine
performance against one of the best junior set ups in The North.
The U14 Girls beat Lymm in a friendly, Annabel
Mills not to be out done by her brother, also scored two goals, Kristen Michael scored the winner, winning 3-2 after being
2-0 down.
