Name:
Ally Leece (Some fools apparently also call me Goon)
Age:
30
Job:
Building Surveyor
Where
did you go to School and or College/Uni’: Birkenhead School
and Nottingham Trent Uni
When
did you first take up Hockey? When I was 14 at school. My brother was playing for Neston 6’s at the time when
I had just started to play and so I got roped in to play one weekend when they were short of players.
What
positions have you played? Everywhere but in goal
What
are you reading at the moment? FHM and the guide to the best strip clubs in England (for my stag weekend of course)
What
is your favourite film? Platoon or Leon
Philosophy
of life? If you get asked to do something that you don’t like doing, do a half-arsed job. You won’t get
asked to do it again.
Best
player you have played with or against? Must be Tony Lydiate when I was in the 6th team, he’d always
get into a good old fight, which was great fun to watch.
Top
tip, for Hockey? Let me strike the short corners!
What
are you listening to, music wise at the moment? Hard Fi, Stereophonics, Bonny Langford
Best
advice given to you? Stand back when Rob Young is trying to hit the ball!
Who
has been the biggest influence on your Hockey? Tim Morris. He showed me exactly how not to play hockey, which has made
me the player I am today.
What
next for NSWHC? Re-sign Tim Morris to help the 6th team win promotion, whilst also getting him to coach
the 1st’s (as he’s a better coach than Lawrence).
Who
would you have on your side, who is a present member of NSWHC in a full kicking scrapping fight and why? Lawrence,
because his girly screams would hopefully attract some other lads who would be hoping to save the screaming damsel in distress
I could then run off as everyone carries on beating up lawrence.
Where
do you Splash the Cash? Probably Tesco!
What
was the best day of your life? About 2 years ago when I had a really nice sandwich
Favourite
Food: Pizza
Favourite
Drink: Lager
Your
ideal weekend? Loads of beer on the Friday night out with my other half, a nice lie in on Saturday followed by a Neston
victory (which I score in and keep a clean sheet of course). Out for beers with the lads on Saturday night (and hopefully
scoring again when I get home plus keeping another clean sheet) another lie in on Sunday followed by watching everton scoring
7 goals again before retiring to watch steve cookson on top gear in the evening.
