When did you start playing Hockey?
I started playing when I was
about 14 at The Young Offenders Institute.
From there I went up to Borstal
and played in their 1st team for a couple of years.
Who did you play for?
Young Offenders Institute
U14 Squad
Borstal 1st XI
Eurovision Song Contest 1st
XI for past 8 years, Capt 2006/07
What Position?
Head Lock or Half Nelson.........oh
you mean on the pitch.!??
What book are you reading at
the moment?
The Littlewoods Catalogue
as my flat mate leaves them all around the place.
What is your favourite film?
Toss up between Finding Nemo
and My Little Pony.
Favourite food?
Hospital or Prison food as
that's all I am used too, certainly better than my flat mates!.
Who is the best player you have
played with or against?
I’ve played with some
great players but Big Teddy has joined us in the 2's this year (I pop him in my pocket as I play) and he is up there
with the best. Toss up between Big Teddy and Andy Hurst..........no Big Ted every time.
Top Tip in Hockey?
Try and dribble round
as many players as you can, don't pass head down and then give the ball away, have a strop and then not run back
and help, has always done me well.
What other sports / pastimes
played?
Netball, Boule, Kite Flying,
Badger baiting and Lumber Jack watching.
What Music do you like?
Have been a big fan of the
Eurovision Song Contest since I was 5 and have all the albums and CD's, I know every winner since it was started in 1968.
Also have all Peter Andre's Albums. The new Michael Ball album is on my Xmas list.
Who
would you want in a fight on your side, from NSWHC.
I
am a lover not a fighter. To quote a previous answer!
However
if it was a proper fight it would have to be Lawrence as he has a face you could punch, apparently according
to Paul Fowler. My opponent would be too busy concentrating on beating him up to notice me sculking off.
Future
for NSWHC?
Grass
Pitches, no youth policy and kick all Coaches and Captains who give up their time for free into the River Dee.
Philosophy
of life?
If
you know you are playing an opponent that’s better than you, cheat, talk to him, and do anything to put them off
their game.
If
you are going to have to give someone bad news, Text them it’s easier.
What
is your idea of a perfect weekend?
Wake up next to Big Teddy and then re-arrange all the other Teddies and Soft Toys I have in my bedroom.
Have a quick Eurovision session before going shopping all day. Back in time for Ant and Dec's Saturday Show while
sipping Dandelion and Berdock and eating a packet of Cheesy wotsits. Early to bed to so I can get up early for some
more research into the Eurovision Song Contest, watch the Best of Michael Ball DVD.
Thanks
Steve have a great season.
