Astro Pitch Squares

The New Pitch Square Scheme is starting next week 6th May 2008.  Each square will cost £100 and if all 700 squares are bought we will raise £70,000 and with gift aid this will put us above our total. We have now hit approx £125,000.  But we need to raise £200,000.  Please Buy a Square from Tim Brooker or Tony Crisp (Contact no's coming) if not put money in the jar at the bar!

Update Report

The Cricket Club had an update meeting regarding the House and Astro development on Tueday 6 May 2008.  All is proceeding to plan with a start date for the House development of 8 Sept 2008.  They have had various building firms in to price and more information will come next month.  The Astro development is still very much on for 2010 and if our money comes in with the pitch squares then who knows it may be earlier, but we need to raise that £200k.

The AGM News

The Hockey AGM on Friday 25th April 2008 was well attended with over 30 people attending.  There has been a cabinet re-shuffle within the Hockey section, the big changes are:

Barbara Crane (mother of Ben who is a badger) has taken the helm as Secretary,  Rich Lowry Jnr is to be the second team Captain, Ian Moxham will take the helm of the fifth team Captaincy.  One of the biggest changes is Greg Brooker's retirement as kit manager, AJ (Andy Jarrett ) will take over and we are all worried about next seasons kit style!!  On the Social side Lisa Morris will take over from Andy Hurst and join Alex Pinington as Social secretaries. All the other positions are to be the same as last year.

Thank you to all who turned up and had a great Chicken curry done by Andy and Alex.  Tim Brooker also talked through the Pitch Square Fund raising scheme to be starting next week.
